THE EVERYDAY STEAM

Customer Terms & Conditions

Effective date: 1 November 2026

Business owner: Chloe Smith

Trading name: The Everyday Steam

Business structure: Sole Trader

Service area: Derby & Nottingham, UK

1. Our Services

The Everyday Steam is a premium home-based ironing and garment-steaming service, providing professional garment care with local collection and delivery.

Our services include ironing, steaming and the careful handling of customers’ garments.

We do not currently provide washing, dry cleaning or garment repairs.

2. Bookings

Bookings can be requested through our website, Instagram, Facebook or other official business contact channels.

All bookings are subject to availability.

A booking is confirmed once the service, price, collection arrangements and expected turnaround time have been agreed.

3. Pricing & Payment

All prices will be confirmed before a booking is accepted.

Any additional charges, including collection or delivery fees, will be clearly communicated and agreed beforehand.

Payment methods and payment deadlines will be confirmed when booking.

4. Collection & Delivery

The Everyday Steam provides collection and delivery within agreed service areas across Derby and Nottingham.

Customers must provide accurate collection and delivery information and ensure garments are ready at the arranged time.

We aim to meet all agreed collection and return times. Should any delays occur, customers will be informed as soon as reasonably possible.

5. Garment Care

Every garment is treated with care and attention.

We follow available garment-care labels and use appropriate ironing and steaming techniques.

Customers should inform us of any delicate fabrics, existing damage, stains, loose embellishments or special-care instructions.

We reserve the right to decline treatment of garments where we reasonably believe ironing or steaming would be unsuitable.

6. Existing Damage

Customers are encouraged to disclose any existing garment damage before collection.

Where significant damage or fabric concerns are identified, we may contact the customer before proceeding.

7. Accidental Damage, Loss & Complaints

We take reasonable precautions to protect garments while they are in our possession.

Should any garment be damaged, lost or returned in an unsatisfactory condition, customers should contact us promptly with details and photographs where available.

We will investigate complaints fairly and provide an appropriate remedy where we are responsible.

Nothing in these terms removes or limits customers’ statutory consumer rights, including their right to services performed with reasonable care and skill.

8. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Customers should contact us as soon as possible if they wish to cancel or reschedule a booking.

For eligible bookings made online or through social media, customers generally have a statutory 14-day cancellation period beginning the day after the contract is made.

Customers who expressly request that work begins within this period may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services already performed if they subsequently cancel, provided the applicable legal requirements have been met.

Where services have been fully completed following an express request to begin early and acknowledgement of the loss of cancellation rights on completion, the statutory cancellation right may end.

Any applicable statutory cancellation information will be provided before a booking is confirmed.

9. Unsuccessful Delivery

If a customer is unavailable for an agreed delivery, we will contact them to arrange a suitable alternative.

Any additional delivery charge will be disclosed and agreed in advance.

Customer garments will be stored with reasonable care while awaiting rearranged delivery.

10. Customer Privacy

Customer details are collected and processed for legitimate business purposes, including bookings, payments, collections, deliveries and customer communication.

Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information.

11. Legal Rights

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Nothing within these terms excludes or restricts statutory rights provided under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable legislation.
